What we store

Domains you submit for a single lookup are resolved and returned immediately -- they are not stored. Domains submitted for a bulk or scheduled job, and the resolved results, are stored in our database so the job's progress and history can be shown to you.

Retention

Job results are kept for a configurable retention period (RESULT_RETENTION_DAYS, defaulting to 30 days) before being deleted. Scheduled/recurring jobs themselves are kept until you delete them.

Cookies and advertising

This site may display advertising served by Google and its advertising partners. If shown, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

Rate limiting

To keep the service available for everyone, requests are counted per visitor IP address in server memory for a short rolling window, purely to enforce a rate limit. This counter is not persisted to a database.

No internal network scanning

This tool only performs public DNS resolution for domain names. Every resolved address is checked against private, loopback, link-local, and cloud-metadata IP ranges before being returned, so it cannot be used to probe internal infrastructure.

Children's privacy

This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the update.
